Turn off Meta Advantage+ creative, and stop it coming back
Advantage+ creative lets Meta's AI change your ads: text variations, image expansion and cropping, backgrounds, music, animation and translation. Advertisers report that enhancements they switched off came back after ordinary edits. From 20 November 2026, Meta's new Commercial Terms make the advertiser responsible for what Meta's AI creates or changes.

- In Ads Manager, open the ad (the ad level, not the campaign) and click Edit.
- Scroll to Advantage+ creative and open the list of enhancements.
- Untick every enhancement you don't want. Check text, image, video, music and translation options one by one.
- Publish, then use the ad preview to confirm what people will see.
- Set the account-wide creative feature defaults so new ads start with enhancements off (agencies report this setting under the Advantage+ creative account settings; check your account).
Why the settings come back
Replacing the creative, changing the ad format, duplicating an ad or editing an existing ad can make suggested enhancements appear selected again (JumpFly, August 2026). One agency recommends re-checking within 48 hours of any change. Make the check part of every edit.
